“A baby is something you carry inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years, and in your heart until the day you die.”
-Mary Mason
This November, I met a beautiful mom-to-be, Atlanta! She is expecting her very first baby. The due date is Nov. 20th and we decided to do her maternity session 2 weeks before that. The weather this November is definitely stunning but it might still be a bit chilly to shoot outside when she is in the elegant and sexy maternity gowns. So we made the decision to shoot this session in her apartment.
As soon as I entered Atlanta's apartment, I was really impressed. Nice and clean beyond my expectation! What's more exciting is that her bedroom is decorated with all white furniture which is great for photography. In addition, it has two big windows which allows plenty of natural light comes in. Photography is an art about light and simplicity. The less is more! White is a great natural color which can reflect people's skin tone correctly, so we call it "natural light reflector" . Bingo!! We got everything we need. Her bedroom and living room just look like a great photo studio to me! And this young expecting mom is so beautiful. There's no doubt that I got a wonderful model. :) The entire session went so well, easy and quick. And the pictures turn out great!!
Now, let's just pray for her to have a safe and quick delivery. I already can't wait to meet her baby and shoot the newborn session for them!!
I ordered two maternity gowns for my clients, one white and one purple. At first, I was a bit concerned that if all expecting moms looking look in the color of purple or not. After Atlanta tried it on, I know immediately that I made the right decision!! She absolutely looks gorgeous in this gown. The design and material of this gown also adds some taste of fashion into this session. We both are so happy with it!
